The NUS Entrepreneurship Centre (NEC) brings to you Brendan O’Regan, the entrepreneur behind Ireland-based Zenith Technologies. Hear how he grew it from from a single person organization to one with over 320 employees with multinational offices.
Abstract of Talk
Brendan O’Regan, Founder and Owner, will give insight into how and why Zenith was formed. Zenith Technologies Ltd is a multinational privately owned company based in Cork, Ireland, focused on the provision of automation solutions and associated services primarily for the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The solutions utilise cutting-edge technologies and are fully compliant with current US FDA validation requirements. Outside Ireland, the company operates offices in Singapore, India, Germany, UK, & USA.
The discussion will also outline the key drivers behind the business and the challenges that were faced in growing from a single person organisation to the current multinational presence of over 320 professionals. He will also highlight his views on where the Pharmaceutical business is heading and what Zenith is doing to deal with this changing environment and continue with its growth strategy.
About The Speaker
Brendan O’Regan, Cork born & bred, started Zenith Technologies (ZT) back in 1998 with two people in a spare room in his home. Zenith Technologies Ltd is an indigenous Irish company, based in Cork with offices in Dublin, UK, Germany, USA, Singapore & India.
As an undisputed & trusted provider of Automation Solutions to the global manufacturing industry, ZT have built an enviable reputation in Life Sciences. Our primary focus has been in the highly regulated pharmaceutical/biotech sectors, where automation & validation are intrinsic requirements of the manufacturing process.
Prior to founding Zenith, Brendan was a founding partner of Proscon Engineering, a modular process technology & automation build company. Prior to that he worked as a Project Manager implementing various Pharmaceutical production facilities projects in Ireland & Europe. Brendan’s early career involved living in Limerick, Dublin and Amsterdam, executing design and configuration of Automation Projects for large scale industrial facilities.
He graduated in Instrument Physics from Cork Institute of Technology in 1978 and was a finalist in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2008, International category. He lives in Cork, is married with two adult children and has a keen interest in all things Maritime, Cinema, Technology & Motorcycle related.
